This article presents the bequest of  Reinhard Eisener (1956–2020) within ZMO Special Collection. It outlines the background and purpose of ZMO’s Special Collection, describes the structure and content of the Eisener estate, and details the processes of cataloguing and digitisation carried out to preserve and make the materials accessible. Particular attention is given to the multilingual nature of the collection, its historical value for the study of Central Asia between 1917 and 1930
