Studying Students with Ajoy and Bhupesh : The Archives of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Delhi and Kolkata

In March and April 2024, Nico Putz spent several weeks in Delhi and Kolkata, exploring archives and institutions. Researching the student movement in India inevitably leads to the All India Students’ Federation, an organization linked to the Communist Party of India (CPI). In this article, he shares his experiences at the party’s headquarters in Delhi and Kolkata, Ajoy Bhavan and Bhupesh Bhawan, offering a glimpse into the archival materials housed there.
