This study explores the military development and defense strategies of the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic (ХНСР) and the Bukharan People's Soviet Republic (БНСР) in the early 1920s. It examines the formation of armed forces, Soviet military assistance, and the role of the Red Army in securing Soviet control over these newly established republics. By analyzing archival documents and firsthand accounts, this study provides insight into the Soviet militarization of Central Asia and the consolidation of Bolshevik power in Khorezm and Bukhara.
