Dr. Abdalla Hanna (1932-2023) war ein syrischer marxistischer Historiker, der nach seinem Studium in Damaskus an der Leipziger Karl-Marx-Universität (heute Universität Leipzig) 1965 seine Dissertation zum Thema „Die nationale Befreiungsbewegung in Syrien von der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts bis 1920“ abschloss. In Syrien lehrte er am Lehrerseminar in Dar’a Geschichte. Sein Interesse galt vor allem der Bevölkerung Syriens.
Dr. Abdalla Hanna (1932-2023) was a Syrian Marxist historian who, after studying in Damascus, completed his dissertation on “The National Liberation Movement in Syria from the Mid-19th Century to 1920” at Karl Marx University in Leipzig (now the University of Leipzig) in 1965. In Syria, he taught history at the teacher training college in Dar'a. His main interest was the population of Syria.
